Quiet, adj. making no noise
v. to silence
Quit, v. to cease, to leave

The team was quite quiet as they quitted the field. Their loss was hard to take, but at least this time none of their players had quit playing in the middle of the game.

Queue, n. a line
v. to join or form a line
Cue, n. a stimulus for action, also a stick used for playing pool
v. to prompt

We arrived at the pool hall and queued up outside. When the owner cued his employee to open the doors, the queue began to move. I’d brought my father’s cue in the hopes that it would bring me luck in the tournament. After we were signed in and ready to play, the owners shouted, “Rack ‘em up!” Having received our cue, we began the competition.
